Craniosacral Therapy For Menopause
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle treatment with it’s roots in osteopathy.
A gentle but powerful therapy that promotes change to the Central Nervous System, helping to improve function and well being throughout the whole body.
Symptoms of menopause can often leave us feeling depleted in energy, tired, anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, and disconnected from our bodies. Craniosacral therapy regulates the nervous system and shifts the body into ‘rest and digest’ mode rather than ‘fight or flight’. This allows the body to heal, relax and restore, leaving feelings of more energy, better mood, positive thoughts, calmness and feeling better in our own skin.
Craniosacral is undertaken by lying down on a treatment couch, fully clothed and under a cosy blanket. It is comfortable, relaxing and nurturing.
To get the most out of craniosacral therapy I would always suggest a course of 6 treatments over as many weeks.
Claire has been running her health and wellness business since 2003. Claire started her qualifications with ITEC Holistic Massage, Anatomy & Physiology at Morley College, London. She then went on to become a teaching assistant on the same course for the next two years, which was a fantastic way to develop her massage skills. Whilst teaching, Claire started her private practice and continued her bodywork studies, qualifying in 2004/05 in Indian Head Massage, Seated Acupressure, Baby Massage teaching qualification and a City & Guilds in Sports Massage.
She continued to practice and run a successful business, taking a career break to have two children. Returning to work, Claire decided to take her learning in a slightly different direction and, in 2016, embarked on a two-year Craniosacral course at the College of Craniosacral Therapy. This challenging and life-changing course led Claire to become a craniosacral therapist, qualifying in 2018. She continues to add regular CPD courses (continuous professional development) to her portfolio. Claire also has regular supervision as part of her accreditation process with The Craniosacral Therapy Association. She is fully insured by Holistic Insurance Services. Claire's approach to her work is always holistic, so treatments are individual and incorporate all of her 20 years of experience as a bodywork therapist.
